Advantage Drills Inc. - Steel Vantage 2A
High Alloy and Dissimilar Steels - AC or DC
| Highest Tensile Strength 120,000 psi-180,000 psi | Machinable | Wear & Shock Resistant | Non-Side Arcing |
CHARACTERISTICS
A premium electrode designed to produce the highest tensile strength. Produces low heat input. Welds are smooth and porosity free without undercut or splatter, in all position. Virtually no side arcing.
APPLICATIONS
| Tooling Repair | Shaft Build Up | Pressure Vessels | Heavy Equipment Repair |
Can be used for practically all maintenance repairs. Excellent for critical applications where high strength and impact resistance are required. Can be used on all carbon steel, tooling, dies, springs and vanadium moly spring steels. Use this rod for build up prior in hard facing. Works well on cast steel. Provides the solution for removal of broken studs
PROCEDURES
Remove all foreign material from the joint area. Heavy sections should be notched to form a 90 degree vee. High carbon steel should be preheated to approximately 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Use stringer boards to prevent over heating. Allow parts to cool slowly. Maintain a short arc.
